After you assign homework, NextKick tracks each student's progress. You can see who hasn't submitted yet, review what students sent, and leave feedback. This guide walks through reviewing submissions and following up.
Before you start
You need homework that's already assigned. See How to Assign Homework.
Step 1: Open the homework
Go to Learning Center → Homeworks.
Click the homework title.
Scroll down to Homework Schedule. It lists every student who received the homework.
Step 2: Check each student's status
Use the filters above the list to show ALL, To Do, Submitted or Confirmed. To find one student, type their name in Search Member.
Status | What it means |
To Do | The student hasn't submitted yet |
Submitted | The student submitted and is waiting for your review |
Confirmed | You reviewed the submission and gave feedback |
The list also shows each student's Rank System, Rank, Class, Group and Submitted Date.
Step 3: Review a submission and give feedback
Click View next to a student.
In the Homework Submission window, review the student's written answer under Assignment and any photos or videos they attached.
Type your comments in Give Feedback.
Click Confirm.
The student's status changes to Confirmed, and they can read your feedback when they open the homework in the app.
Tip: You can’t edit feedback after you click Confirm, so check it before you save.
Step 4: Follow up or export
Click Action above the list:
Send Email: email students by status, for example a reminder to everyone still in To Do.
Export: download the list as a spreadsheet.
Step 5 (optional): Notify students when you give feedback
NextKick doesn’t send a notification automatically. To let students know their homework has feedback:
Go to Marketing Tools → Automations.
Create an automation with the trigger New Homework Feedback Submitted.
Choose how to notify students, such as a push notification or email.
FAQ
Can students see my feedback? Yes. Students see it in the NextKick app when they open their submitted homework.
Can I give feedback to a student who hasn't submitted? No. Feedback is given on a submission, so the student needs to submit first.
A student missed the due date. Can they still submit? No. Students can't submit after the due date. You can create a new homework for that student using the Member target.
