Events with the sign-up form turned off, member-only events (limited to a group or rank), and events that are closed or full don't appear. If no events are open, the button is hidden automatically.
3. How to Enable or Disable Kiosk Features
You can customize your Kiosk screen by enabling only the features your school needs.
Example: Disabling the Free Trial Button
If your school does not offer free trial classes and does not want to display this option, you can disable the Start a Free Trial button.
Go to Settings → System & Security → System.
Scroll down to the Kiosk section.
Click Manage.
Find Start a Free Trial.
Disable the option.
Once disabled, the button will no longer appear on your Kiosk screen.
4. How to Rename Kiosk Buttons
NextKick also allows you to customize the names of the buttons displayed on your Kiosk screen.
This is especially useful if your school offers services that differ from the default button descriptions.
Example: Changing “Start a Free Trial” to “Register Trial Class”
Some martial arts schools offer paid trial classes instead of free trials.
In this case, you do not need to hide the trial registration button. Instead, you can rename it to better reflect your school’s services.
To rename a Kiosk button:
Navigate to Settings → System & Security → System.
Scroll down to the Kiosk section.
Click Manage.
Find the button you want to customize.
Change the button name to your preferred text.
Save your changes.
Example:
Default Name: Start a Free Trial
Custom Name: Register Trial Class
By changing the button name, you can avoid confusion and make sure the Kiosk accurately represents the services your school provides.
Note: Renaming a button only changes the text displayed on the Kiosk. It does not automatically change the pricing or registration settings associated with that feature.
5. Why Customize Your Kiosk Screen?
Customizing your Kiosk allows you to:
Simplify the user experience: Display only the features relevant to your school.
Avoid confusion: Rename or hide buttons that do not match your school’s services.
Improve accessibility: Help students and parents easily find the options they need.
Match your school’s programs: Customize button names to reflect your actual services, such as paid trial classes.
Important Reminder
You can manage your Kiosk screen at any time by navigating to:
Settings → System & Security → System → Kiosk → Manage
From this section, you can:
Enable Kiosk features.
Disable features your school does not offer.
Rename buttons to better match your school’s programs.
For example, if your school does not offer free trial classes, you can either disable the “Start a Free Trial” button or rename it to “Register Trial Class” to better reflect your school’s registration options.
