How to Connect a Payment Provider

Apply for card processing and connect bank (ACH) payments with Bluu or Stripe.

Written by Ben Ryoo

To take card and bank account (ACH) payments from members, connect a payment provider. NextKick works with Bluu and Stripe, and card and bank payments can each use a different provider.

Card payments (US schools)

To process cards with Bluu, fill out the Bluu Merchant Questionnaire.

After you submit it, setup and connection usually take about one week. To use Stripe for cards instead, contact NextKick support.

Bank account (ACH) payments (US schools)

Bank payments can be processed by Stripe or Bluu. To connect Stripe yourself:

  1. Go to Settings → Payments and open the Payment Settings tab.

  2. Under Online payments, find Bank transfer (ACH) and click Set up bank transfers.

  3. Create a new Stripe account, or connect one your school already has, and complete Stripe's setup steps.

When setup is complete, Bank transfer (ACH) shows Connected, and you can start collecting members' bank details. To use Bluu for bank payments instead, contact NextKick support.

For collecting bank details, ACH fees and failed ACH payments, see How to Accept Bank Account (ACH) Payments.

Schools in Canada

Schools in Canada use Stripe for both card and bank (ACH) payments. Setup and connection usually take about 5–7 business days. Contact NextKick support if you need help setting up or connecting your Stripe account.

Check which provider handles each payment type
