Most deletions in NextKick are permanent. This guide lists what can't be undone, what you can reverse, and what to do instead of deleting.
Step 1: Check whether the change can be undone
What you did | Can it be undone? | What to do now |
Manage member → Delete member | No. Everything on the profile is deleted. | Add the member again and re-create their membership. |
Remove from family | No. That member's membership is deleted. | Add the membership to the member again. |
Membership Actions → Delete membership record | No. | Add the membership again from the student's profile. |
Membership Actions → End autopay | No. | Add a new membership with autopay. |
Changing a member to Former Member | The status can be changed back, but their memberships stay cancelled. | Add a new membership. |
An action on the Bulk Actions page | No. Bulk Actions has no undo. | Fix each student one by one. |
Refunding or voiding an invoice | No. | Create a new invoice if the charge is still owed. |
Deleting a belt test | No. Promotions stay, and invoices already issued aren't deleted. | Create a new test or copy an existing one. |
Marking a lead as lost | Yes. | Open the lead and click Actions → Undo lost. |
Step 2: Use a safer option instead of deleting
Before you delete something, check whether one of these does the job:
A student leaves: change their status to Former Member instead of deleting them. Their history, payments and attendance stay on file.
A family pauses: use Actions → Pause membership instead of ending autopay.
An unpaid invoice is wrong: edit its amount or due date instead of voiding it.
A duplicate profile: keep the profile with the payment history and delete only the empty one.
Tip: Some items can't be deleted while they're in use. A membership plan can't be deleted while anyone is on it, a rank system while students hold a rank in it, and a belt test once invoices are issued.
